Omnifaith spiritual expert

No , there I was reading happily on HuffPo, minding my own business, when I see a byline on a blog post. It said, without any mitigation, "omnifaith spiritual expert."

So, of course, my reaction was "WTF?!"

The blogger is a Dr Susan Corso (and she has a website where you can go partake of her expertise). Her blog post showed her to be quite thoroughly monotheist (New Age style), so my giggling at the hubris involved in naming herself an "omnifaith spiritual expert" turned into guffaws.

Now I'm wondering if the monotheists here would take anybody serious who claims omnifaith expertise. How about it? You Jews think a New Agish thinker could be an expert on Judaism? You Catholics think she can also be an expert on Catholicism? Protestants? Unitarians? (Well, I'm UU, also...though I'll hold that question out for more traditional UUs to answer.)

Well she is equally qualified to speak on almost all faiths, isn't she? Totally unqualified on all faiths is equally qualified n'est pas?

Omnifaith? That is a new one on me. Maybe one of us should ask her a polytheist question?

Well, yeah, John, I suspect you're correct that she's equally qualified in all faiths. Does that qualify her as an expert, though?

Ok, now I read a few of her blogs. To quote the far wiser and (equally?) fictional Bugs Bunny: "What a maroon!"

She charges $3 per minute for pastoral counseling. Initial sessions are two hours.

What a deal!

Who does counseling sessions per minute?!

I dunno but her website is really hard to read with a messy background text that just blends into it. That should be fixed.
