I had such strong thoughts of Itty last night. Raising my glass to her as well.

I thought of her the other day, as well! Raising my glass......to Itty!

Her Birthday is coming up. Maybe she is swinging by to tweak our noses!

That, I wouldn't doubt! And, we're approaching one of the two times that the veil between the worlds is the thinnest.sacrificialgoddess wrote:Her Birthday is coming up. Maybe she is swinging by to tweak our noses!

Ah, it is good to think of her.

Hmmm...honestly hadn't thought about its being that time of year.
I bet you're onto something there, Innerpoint. I've found myself thinking lately of others who've gone before us.
It's actually been rather pleasant as opposed to having to walk past the fake tombstones displayed in the entryway of my favorite supermarket. For about $6, you too can have your very own ugly slab of plastic to desecrate a front yard that you probably otherwise groom meticulously so as to enhance its appeal.
Just silly as is so much of what has become associated with Halloween.

I have been thinking of her lately. I miss her, I miss her wisdom, I learned much from Itty. I suspect she is still around here somewhere. And heaven forbid she figure out how to use a computer form that after life
She give us an earful.
She give us an earful.

Thinking of Itty all week.... lifting up a song in her honor:

Maybe Bruddha Iz is singing this song to her atop some cloud somewhere. Love to you Itty.

Re: Itty's Place
I thought of her sadly myself not long ago but also with admiration for her incredible courage and determination to stay involved on YS as long as she possibly could.
I happened onto an old B-net thread where she had been posting about a year before her deterioration became evident. What a sadness and yet a delight it was to read her wonderful contributions to that thread. Classic Itty they were, every one.
I remember thinking as I noticed her sentences becoming more fragmented and sometimes confusingly worded with uncustomary typos that she would probably not be with us much longer.
But I admired with every posting how she kept on being an active member of YS nevertheless.
I only hope that should I become so seriously ill, I will remind myself of her magnificent example of steadfastness and keep on keeping on as long as possible.
What a generous, courageous and remarkable woman she was! As Emerson said of Thoreau at the latter's graveside, "He had a beautiful soul. He had a beautiful soul."
That was our Itty in full measure, I believe.
May she be romping merrily in the afterlife,
Dot

Re: Itty's Place
Very nicely put, Dot! Courageous is definitely the word I think of when I think about Itty.
