That is pretty good.
For me, it depends on how you define, "believe". I don't have any problem allowing for the existence of any of the deities that were mentioned. However, I only "believe" as in follow, a few of those.
And I would never attack anyone for not doing so.

For me, it's like this. Do I know that there is no god? Of course not. But do I believe a god (any god) exists? No.. I do not. I have no reason to. There is no evidence for gods (imo).. and so I can't believe in them. Any of them.
Of course, this video is aimed at a certain segment of believers who have no problem with people not believing in gods.. unless it's their god.

Personally, I have become convinced. But, there is a difference between being convinced, and having accumulated actual empirical data that could be referenced to say that I had knowledge of it.
Hell Rob, you've known me since way back on the old old ECD boards.

I like the exclamation point in the title Atheist!
I don't believe in god or gods but I do believe if you want one you can make one.

Exactly. There is a god for everybody who wants one. And that god can be whatever you want it to be.

Re: Atheist!
Works for me, because my concept of God is now beyond all possible concepts of God that I could have.

Very true. If you accept that god is everywhere, then he is everywhere. If you dont believe that, then he isn't.

Not exactly. But the gods do not force themselves on you.

No, they do not. And some people never meet one so they get their ideas about them out of books.

Re: Atheist!
I'm bringing this thread back up.
For me, without something other than "another human's words that it is true" to go on, I have a very hard time accepting ANY deity. However, I can understand the virtues that a specific deity may have as a characteristic and even attempt to emulate it/them. But can that be anything other than just me accepting a way of life? It still doesn't make that specific deity into a real entity that actually has some level of contact with me. I could be wrong, of course, but . . . . . . maybe I have irreparably damaged my ability to understand what any "relationship" would even look like, expecting something more than is even attainable. IS a person's "deity" just an internal simulation that seems very real to them, but has no relevance in reality? Is that why most faiths require the person to "have faith" in it?
I could almost be a "nature worshipper". At least I know it is actually there. Of course, not in any "it's supernatural" way, . . . but in the amazing and often awe inspiring naturalism of it. Nothing to receive that "worship", . . . but my own uplifting when I embrace myself within it [nature].
Just thinking out loud. :-)
