World's Smallest Political Test

I received the following e-mail today from a friend in Pennsylvania. The results were pretty interesting:
So, you think you know where you stand, politically. Think again. The
result from this short test may surprise you and give you some food
for thought.
You'll be asked just 10 questions, and then it instantly tells you
where you stand politically. It shows your position as a red dot on a
"political map" so you'll see exactly where you score.
The most interesting thing about the Quiz is that it goes beyond the
Democrat, Republican, and Independent.
The Quiz has gotten a lot of praise. The Washington Post said it has
"gained respect as a valid measure of a person's political leanings."
The Fraser Institute said it's "a fast, fun, and accurate assessment
of a person's overall political views." Suite University said it is
the "most concise and accurate political quiz out there."

What a great little quiz, Beribee! I took it and the test revealed that I'm a CENTRISTS. Interesting. My PERSONAL issues score was 40%, and my ECONOMIC issues score was 40%.

Didn't surprise me a bit. I turned out to be just as much of a "lefty" as I suspected. I must say that the summary described my politics exactly.

I had always considered myself pretty much a Liberal. Looking at the description I felt I had been pegged. Maybe I'm a liberal leaning centrist?

Sorry, TED, but although I scored 100% Personal Issues 60% Economic Issues, thus being a Libertarian, I cannot support the Libertarian Party after they nominated Bob Barr for President in 2008. Barr, as a Republican Member of Congress sponsored the Barr Amendment which prohibited the use of medical marijuana, and also prohibited future laws to lower the penalties for Schedule I drugs. That portion was overturned by a Federal Court. Barr also, authored and sponsored the Defense of Marriage Act, voted for the Patriot Act and the Iraq Resolution, and proposed that the Pentagon ban the practice of Wicca in the military.
Although he has claimed to have changed his positions on all of the above, this is not a Libertarian, and if the party nominated him they are either extremely naive, or more interested in getting a "name" politician than standing on principle.

I scored right on the line between Centrist and Libertarian! Who knew?? LOL My husband scored squarely in the Libertarian section....would explain why we don't have political debates in my house! LOL

According to this I am a liberal. Of course, this is done by the Fraser Institute, who are slightly right of Rush Limbaugh, so I think Benito Mussilini, and Franco might score just right of center as mild conservatives.
